From Finland to Montenegro: the first eco-friendly maritime vessel CAT-6 in Montenegro

In December 2023, EcoBoats’ employees traveled to Vaasa, Finland, where met up with Callboats. As part of this collaboration, EcoBoats acquired 2 of Callboats’ CAT-6 vessels, as a way to familiarize themselves with Callboats’ designs and technology. This boat was in many ways a model or prototype, allowing Callboats to accumulate knowledge useful for future vessels and their design features, eco-friendly technologies, and performance metrics but the CAT-6 was also crucial for establishing maritime transport in Vaasa, Finland. Transporting the CAT-6 on a trailer was no small feat but the 2 EcoBoats employees did an outstanding job coordinating the route, having all of the necessary paperwork for any inspections or checks as well as ensuring the vessel’s safe transit.
