Our vessels - we are proud to say that our vessels are known globally. The Callboats CAT10 L, the autonomous catamaran we use, was named one of the best inventions of 2023 by TIME magazine.
CAT10 - the fully electric catamaran CAT10, ten meters long, with a capacity of up to 26 people, was launched by our partner Callboats in 2021. In addition to autonomous docking, autopilot and the ability to maintain a position on the water, these vessels now offer autonomous driving. Solar panels on the roof top up the battery levels, leading to a reduction in electricity consumption. We tested Callboats products to really understand the future user experience. This boat is intended as the main line of public transportation between the various stations served by EcoBoats. Passengers can check the time of departure or arrival of the ship through the EcoBoats application, book tickets or obtain an electronic ticket for later boarding through the application or website. The CAT10 has a cruising speed of 6 knots, providing a relaxed yet fast journey to any destination we offer.
CAT6 - the CAT6 is a small six-meter catamaran with six seats, manufactured by our partner Callboats. The hull is similar to larger ships, as the catamaran offers exceptional stability and low energy consumption. During operation, the solar panels produce enough electricity to charge the ship. This model began commercial use in Helsinki in 2020, transporting people to the island for two summer months. Although autonomous passenger handling requires the supervision of a captain, the CAT6 has become the world's first autonomous electric passenger ship to enter commercial use. For EcoBoats, the CAT6 will be used as a water taxi, which can be booked by phone, email or found at Porto Nova Marina.
